Marriott International plans to open Alaia Belize residential resort in 2021

By Aaron Humes: According to Caribbean Journal Invest, the Marriott International is investing in a 155-unit residential resort, Alaia Belize, scheduled to open in 2021.

It will occupy 20 acres of beachfront land in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, Belize District.

The beachside community will feature one and two-bedroom studio houses and ocean villas at prices ranging from US$229,000 to US$1.3 million. There is also a separate collection of beach villas selling for US$1.3 million each with 2 or 3 bedrooms, private pool and beach seats, designed by Brazilian Debora Aguiar.

And they’re going fast: all of The Beach Villas properties are sold out and 60 percent of the others are as well.

The property is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection.
