More than 22 million people have recovered from COVID-19 worldwide

By BBN Staff: While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to infect people worldwide, over 22 million people have managed to recover from the virus.

Worldometer reports that as of today, global infections stood above 30 million, but that over 22 million people had recovered from the virus.

There are currently over 7.3 million active cases with 1 percent of those cases (61,179) are listed as serious/critical.

The United States has confirmed over 6.8 million cases and 202,306 deaths, keeping its ranking at the hardest-hit country in the world by COVID-19.

India, the second-most hit country has confirmed over 5.2 million cases with 84,505 deaths.

Brazil, while being the third-hardest hit country with 4.4 million infections has recorded 135,031 deaths.

Infections continue to soar in Belize with 1567 confirmed cases of the virus. Nineteen people have died to complications associated to COVID-19 in Belize.
