Net Vasquez resigns from all government posts

By BBN Staff: Embattled former BTL Chairman, Nestor Vasquez, has informed that he is also resigning from other appointed government posts including Chairmanship of the Social Security Board Investment Committee, his role on the Integrity Commission, and his membership of the Central Bank.

The announcement comes on the heels of his immediate resignation as Chairman of BTL amid allegations of gross abuse of the company’s finances via a company credit card, and wanton abuse of the company’s assets. It was also reported he gave a 2 year advertising advance to his own company, Channel 7.

The Prime Minister has expressed his disappointment over the whole situation, noting that Vasquez is a close personal friend of his. An investigation into allegations of abuse by Vasquez is being conducted by the Prime Minister’s office and BTL has confirmed the investigation.
