Chinese shopkeeper survives attempted purse jacking

By Aaron Humes: Police are looking for the man who held up 49-year-old Xuehua Huang, a shopkeeper of North Front Street late on Friday, and attempted to steal her purse as she was leaving her store.

Huang told police that while leaving through the side gate of her establishment, Uncle Shop, a single fair-skinned man clad in red shirt and brown short pants attempted to snatch her purse and they struggled.

Huang sustained facial injuries but held on to her purse as her attacker escaped. She was hospitalized in stable condition. Police continue their investigations.
