By Aaron Humes: Alejandro Uk was driving on Black Rock Road on Thursday when he was held up by four armed men on a motorcycle.
But police say they were forced to abandon their plans and the Great Wall Wingle they stole from Uk.
Superintendent Alejandro Cowo told reporters that Uk managed to untie himself and report the matter to police, who later located the vehicle bogged down in the area of Calla Creek village, along with a chainsaw and motorcycle likely used by the thieves. But there was no one in the area and the vehicle was without its keys.
Police believe the thieves were looking to smuggle the vehicle through the illegal crossing into Guatemala. One man from the area is a suspect whom police are searching for as part of their continued investigations.
