PUP: New government will set $5 minimum wage for women

By BBN Staff: Tonight, the PUP launched their women and family agenda as a part of their #PlanBelize Manifesto.

 Included in the agenda, the PUP pledges to provide equal pay for equal work for women.

PUP Party Leader, John Briceno said that a new PUP government is committed to provide a $5 minimum wage for women.

“ I see the PUP’s policies going in the right direction,” Belize Rural Central standard bearer, Dolores Balderamos Garcia commented.

Standard bearer of Belize Rural South, Andre Perez emphasized the importance for the safety and protection of women and families.

The PUP’s women policy also includes policies to empower women through creation of economic opportunities.
