Eight new cases of COVID-19 and 49 more recoveries today

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health reports that 8 new cases of COVID-19 were identified today after a total of 206 tests were conducted. In addition there were 49 additional recovered patients today.

The 8 new cases of COVID-19 are distributed as follows:

Corozal District – 3 (1 Corozal Town, 1 Louisville, 1 Santa Clara)
Belize District – 4 (2 Ladyville, 1 City, 1 San Pedro)
Cayo District – 1 (from Belize City but swabbed in Cayo)

Two patients remained ventilated at KHMH’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

With the 8 new cases and 49 recoveries today, the active cases now stand at 647 or 39.6% of the total number of identified cases. A total of 967 or 59.1% of the positive cases have recovered to date.
