Prime Minister: Rate of positive cases of COVID-19 decreased from peak

Posted: Monday, September 21, 2020. 12:19 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: Notwithstanding the behavior of some in the last few weeks, the positive rate of COVID-19 cases is on the decline according to Prime Minister Dean Barrow.

This weekend’s rates are significantly down from their peak in August, with between 6 and 10 percent reported.

There are currently 1,627 cases countrywide of which there are more recovered than active and 21 dead. Most can’t see it, none prepared for it, but it was nonetheless merciless, said P.M. Barrow.

But in fighting against it, we have found heroes large and small, and the selflessness of the many has outweighed the selfishness of a few. And again, he predicted that it will not be long before COVID-19 is in the rearview mirror, with the united best of Government and people.
