Youth attempts to burn down police substation in Corozal?

By BBN Staff: Corozal police are seeking one person for questioning following a fire that took place at the Caledonia Village Police sub-station last night.

Reports are that around 6:55 p.m. on Sunday, September 20th, community members observed smoke coming from the police substation. When authorities arrived, they found a small pile of charred remains of plastic waste in front of a wooden door on the upper flat of the building.

The report also said that moments before the fire was detected, a young man riding a bicycle was seen heading away from the substation.

Community members came together and extinguished the fire.

Investigations into the matter continue.
