By BBN Staff: Belizean born doctor, Kalim J Habet, is a cardiovascular disease and critical care medical professional. He practiced in Chicago 8 years before making his way to Brownsville, Texas.
With over 31 years of experience, Habet has been assisting patients prevail through the COVID-19 pandemic in Texas.
Habet is also a clinical adjunct professor at the University of Texas, MegaDoctor reports.
Dr. Habet shared some of the advancements made at the Heart Institute including branching out into a multi-specialty clinic.
The Heart Institute of Brownsville provides care for their cardiac patients and has received national recognition.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Habet implemented protocols from the Center for Diseases and Control.
“Yes, the pandemic has changed life as we know it,” Habet commented.
In speaking of COVID-19, Habet said that he believes everyone is waiting for a vaccine.
Habet says that his father never went to high school and he is the first in his family to attend university.
Habet said that the Heart Institute is dedicated to helping patients prevail during this pandemic.
