Paid Contribution: Gilroy Usher Sr. is the lion of Port Loyola, a tireless warrior for his people and the man who has shown time and time again that he has only the interests of his people at heart. The people have shown him the same love and respect that he has shown them. They will have him as their Area Representative, whenever general elections are called.

Usher was born in the Belize District, in the small community of Bermudian Landing. He attended St. John’s College, and then the Belize Teacher’s College. He is at heart an educator, having been in the teaching profession for 25 years. He is also a self-made businessman who started small and has now built a successful family-owned enterprise in the country. Always driven by the need to learn, he recently returned to the University of Belize to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in Business.

Usher, since childhood had a passion for politics. He has long advocated for equality of the working class in Belize, and an upliftment of the quality of life of disadvantaged Belizeans. He has been the PUP Standard Bearer in Port Loyola, since 2012 and has slowly but surely won the hearts of the residents through his unending work to transform the division, neglected under the United Democratic Party.

Today, Usher remains committed to providing meaningful jobs, access to land, proper housing, better educational opportunities, affordable health care and a safer community to all his people. Along with the PUP, Gilroy Usher in Port Loyola will make it happen.
