By Aaron Humes: The Government has announced a slight easing of quarantine regulations that went into effect today, Tuesday.
Statutory Instrument No. 134 of 2020, signed by Minister of Health Pablo Marin, amends S.I. No. 126, promulgated on September 4 at the end of the National State of Emergency.
Under the amended regulations, churches can open with no more than 10 people, but this does not include the celebrant and two auxiliary personnel.
Also, restaurants that are officially licensed can have dine-in customers by reservations only and no more than 10 people may sit at a time.
And finally, the Director of Health Services must release the names of all COVID-19 positive patients, more than 1,600, as well as those in self-isolation and mandatory quarantine, to the Minister of National Security. He commits an offense if he fails to do so.
