By BBN Staff: The Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero, has reportedly tendered his resignation to the National Oversight Committee, sources have confirmed to BBN.

Manzanero’s resignation comes after a new statutory instrument made public by the Government on Tuesday noted that the ‘Director of Health Services must release the names of all COVID-19 positive patients to the Minister of National Security.’

The statutory instrument states:

The Director of Health Services shall provide the Minister responsible for national security with the following information–

(a) the name and address of every person that has tested positive for COVID-19;

(b) the name and address of every person placed in self isolation; and

(c) the name and place of quarantine of every person placed in mandatory quarantine.

“The Director of Health Services commits an offence if he fails to provide the information to the Minister responsible for National Security,”  it stated.
