By BBN Staff: A total of 1,004 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in Belize. Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero, said that the evidence so far suggests that females are recovering faster than males.
The Ministry of Health continues to conduct testing. Up to date, a total of 13,251 tests have been done.
The country has now registered 1,669 confirmed cases of the virus.
There are now 644 active cases of COVID-19 being monitored.
Twenty-two people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in Belize. Thirteen of the patients who died are men and eight are women.
The Ministry of Health continues to urge the public to adhere to all safety protocols and take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.
