Succotz resident is among youngest patients to die of COVID-19 in Belize

By BBN Staff: Elias Yacab, 38, of San Jose Succotz passed away last night at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

Yacab is the 22nd person in Belize to die of complications associated with COVID-19. He is also the second youngest patient in Belize to lose his life to the virus. The youngest was Verna Gladden, a 30-year-old teacher from Belize City who died on August 24.

The Ministry of Health says that Yacab had been at the ICU at KHMH for over 2 weeks.
