By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service says weather conditions will continue mainly fair entering the weekend.
For the next 24 hours, skies will be sunny with a few cloudy spells and clear to partly cloudy tonight. Showers and thunderstorms will be isolated, except for a few more inland and in the north this afternoon, then in the south tonight. Residents, especially those inland are advised to remain hydrated.
Winds are from the east to north east at zero to ten knots. Seastate is slight.
High temperatures today range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 96 degrees over inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures reach 80 degrees along the coast, 73 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.
Tides will be low at 9:26 a.m. this morning and 8:24 p.m. tonight and high at 3:46 p.m. this afternoon.
The sun sets at 5:47 p.m. this evening and rises at 5:41 a.m. Thursday morning.
The extended outlook through Thursday night is for mainly fair weather with isolated showers and thunderstorms inland in the afternoon.
In the Tropical Weather Outlook for the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico, post-tropical cyclones Teddy and Paulette are still active, the former located south of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and moving north at 18 miles per hour with maximum sustained winds of 80 miles per hour, and the latter east-southeast of the Azores and moving east at 12 miles per hour with maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour. There are no other active storms or disturbances posing threats to Belize at this time.
