1,019 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Belize

By BBN Staff: A total of 1,019 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in Belize. 

Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero, said that the evidence so far suggests that females are recovering faster than males.

The Ministry of Health continues to conduct testing. Up to date, a total of 13,419 tests have been done.

The country has now registered 1,706 confirmed cases of the virus.

There are now 665 active cases of COVID-19 being monitored.

Twenty-two people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in Belize. Fourteen of the patients who died are men and eight are women.

The Ministry of Health continues to urge the public to adhere to all safety protocols and take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.
