Taiwan to celebrate 109th National Day virtually

Posted: Thursday, September 24, 2020. 6:44 pm CST.

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Taiwan Embassy in Belize today announced the launch of their 109th National Day Celebrations.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Embassy is unable to host a National Day Reception as is customary. However, the embassy will do a virtual celebration contest that will engage Belizeans and all of their followers on their Facebook page.

To  partake in the contest, the requirements are as follows:

First, follow Taiwan in Belize Facebook page, and take a photo of YOU and anything related to TAIWAN (such as a member from the Taiwanese community in Belize, a dish of Taiwanese cuisine, or a national flag), then post your photo and messages below the article, tag 3 of your friends and invite them to LIKE your comment and become a follower of the Taiwan in Belize Facebook page

If you get more than 10 likes on your comment, the first 109 participants will each get a Made-in-Taiwan electronic product (value of 60 BZD) as a souvenir from the Embassy.

If you fill all the requirements and win the prize, the Embassy will contact you for an appointment to receive your gift with details to be announced on October 16th.

If you are not on the list of the first 109 winners but belong to the group of participants who are still able and willing to post photos and messages before October 10th to congratulate their National Day, the Embassy will give away extra coupons for local Taiwanese restaurants up to a maximum of 100 people in addition to the first 109 winners.
