Ministry of Health: Over 1,000 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Belize

By BBN Staff: Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero said that the evidence so far suggests that females are recovering faster than males.

Data from the Ministry of Health indicate that of the recovered patients, 490 are females and 582 are males.

The Ministry of Health continues to conduct testing. Up to date, a total of 13,719 tests have been done.

The country has now registered 1,758 confirmed cases of the virus.

There are now 664 active cases being monitored and twenty-two people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in Belize.

Fourteen of the patients who died are men and eight are women.

The Ministry of Health continues to urge the public to adhere to all safety protocols and take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.
