1,134 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Belize

By BBN Staff: A total of 1,134 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in Belize.

According to Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero the evidence so far suggests that females are recovering faster than males.

Data from the Ministry of Health indicate that of the recovered patients, 521 are females and 613 are males.

The Ministry of Health continues to conduct testing. Up to date, a total of 14,030 tests have been done.

The country has now registered 1,808 confirmed cases of the virus.

There are now 651 active cases of COVID-19 being monitored.

Twenty-three people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in Belize.

Fifteen of the patients who died are men and eight are women.

The Ministry of Health continues to urge the public to adhere to all safety protocols and take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.
