Belize Met Service: Mainly fair weather expected today

The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Belize Met Service) says that mainly fair weather conditions are expected today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells today, with isolated showers or thunderstorms. Cloudy spells are expected tonight with a few showers or thunderstorms over southern districts, isolated elsewhere.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 96 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 83 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 76 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

“Residents, especially those inland, are advised to stay hydrated,” the Met Service said.

Winds will be blowing East-Southeast between 10-20 knots and the sea state will be light chop.

High tide came in at 6:43 a.m. and low tide will begin at 1:58 p.m.

The sun will set at 5:44 p.m. and the moon will rise 3:26 p.m.
