DJ Mayan representing Big Falls, Punta Gorda on today’s Sunday Vibes DJ Linkup

By BBN Staff: DJ Mayan, a proud son of Big Falls Punta Gorda, will be joining the roster for today’s Sunday Vibes DJ Linkup, being streamed on Breaking Belize News Facebook page.

Now a well-known DJ in Cayo, particularly for private-bookings, DJ Mayan was exposed to being a DJ at a young age, due to his father’s after-hours establishment. Recruited by Black Thunder Sounds in PG, he played his first event back in 2010. He then spent years being the house DJ for Blue Angels Nightclub.

While he ensures he leaves all crowds satisfied with his musical selections, DJ Mayan prides himself on being able to work a little bit of his cultural music into his mixes.

“I play the music that my culture loves, the harp, and the marimba…I incorporate that into my music because that’s what my people love,” DJ Mayan said.

Speaking on today’s performance, DJ Mayan promises to bring a unique vibe to the Link Up, blending trending music with old school favorites, and representing Big Falls to the fullest in all he does.

The Sunday Vibes DJ Linkup streams from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
