Ministry of Health launches virtual wellness symposium

By BBN Staff: Today, the Ministry of Health (MOH) is hosting a virtual wellness symposium marking the occasion of Caribbean Wellness Week.

The symposium, which runs until midday, is being live-streamed on the Ministry of Health and Government of Belize Press Office Facebook pages.

The event features presentations from health sector professionals from both the public and private sectors on topics such as mental health, nutrition, food safety, and the importance of regular physical activity.

The MOH said that the sessions are designed to be short and practical, with the hopes of giving viewers useful tips that they can implement immediately into their daily lives to enhance their physical and mental health.

Belize has celebrated Caribbean Wellness Week for the past 11 years, during the last week of September.
