Over 30,000 applications approved for COVID-19 Unemployment Relief

By BBN Staff: The Government of Belize today issued an update on the applications for phase 2 of the COVID-19 unemployment relief program.

As of today, 64,252 applications have been received for the program.

Of those, 30,544 applications have been approved, all of which have been sent to the National Bank of Belize for payment.

Thirteen thousand and nineteen applications were excluded from the program.

Three thousand four hundred and forty-seven applicants were asked to make the corrections.

And, over 17,000 applications are pending for review.

Applicants can check the status of their application using the following link on the Government of Belize’s covid19.bz website: https://payment.covid19.gov.bz/paymentstatus/.
