52 new cases of COVID-19 identified in Belize, 17 more cases recovered

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health informs that 52 new cases of COVID-19 were identified today out of a total of 224 samples that were processed.

The 52 new cases are distributed as follows:

Toledo – 1 (San Pedro Columbia)

Corozal – 7 (Concepcion 3, Chan Chen 1, Paraiso 1, Corozal Town 2)

Cayo – 8 (Belmopan 6, Spanish Lookout 1, 1 from Ladyville but swabbed in San Ignacio)

Belize – 9 (6 from Belize City, Hattieville 2, Lords Bank 1)

Orange Walk – 27 (10 in town, 3 in Carmelita and San Jose, 2 in Guinea Grass, Tower Hill and San Estevan and 1 each in Chan Pine Ridge, Trial Farm, Trinidad, Nuevo San Juan and August Pine Ridge)

There were 17 cases that recovered today.

The active cases now stand at 692 or 35.6% of the total identified cases.
