BREAKING: Two more COVID-19 deaths in Belize, both from Orange Walk

By BBN Staff: In tonight’s COVID-19 update, the Ministry of Health reports that there are two (2) more COVID-19 deaths in Belize. Both individuals are from the Orange Walk District, a male and a female.

The female was in her 70s and had been previously admitted at the Northern Regional Hospital (NRH). The second person to die was a male in his 60s who had just been admitted to the hospital today and whose diagnosis was made post mortem.

The two (2) deaths today bring Belize’s total COVID-19 deaths to 26. The death rate as a percent of those who have tested positive have now edged up to 1.34%.
