New Ambassador of El Salvador hands credentials over to Governor-General

By BBN Staff: Today, the Ambassador of El Salvador to Belize, H.E. Julia Carolina Rovira Aguilar presented her letters of credence to Governor-General of Belize, H.E. Sir Colville Young.

The handing over took place this morning at Belize House in Belmopan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Governor-General, in welcoming the ambassador Rovira Aguilar, spoke of the long friendship shared between Belize and El Salvador.

“He also noted the important role Belize has played in providing a haven for refugees fleeing El Salvador,” the Ministry said.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Rovira Aguilar thanked the Governor-General for his warm welcome and wishes for a strengthened relationship between the two during her tenure.
