No charges for facilitating drug plane landing

By BBN Staff: Police had detained the owner of the farm, Noel Codd, where a drug plane landed last week, with hopes of charging him for facilitating the landing of the plane.

The plane was found early morning on Independence Day.

But, Codd was charged for an unrelated offence, prohibited ammunition found on his farm in the London area of the old Northern Highway.

The Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams had indicated that Codd would have been charged.

However, Codd was released and the investigation is still ongoing.

“After what we had was submitted it needed further work so he was released pending further investigation,” Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Myvette stated.
