Government of Belize sells Headquarters of Belize National Fire Service to Atlantic Bank

By BBN Staff:The Government fo Belize has sold the Headquarters of Belize National Fire Service (BNFS), located on Cleghorn Street, Belize City, to Atlantic Bank.

The sale for $2.8 million was reportedly finalized back in March. Minister Responsible for the BNFS, Edmond Castro, told the media this week that the Fire Service will be relocated to a new facility located on Chetumal Boulevard.

However, construction has not begun on that facility yet, and the BNFS, which sits immediately across the street from Atlantic Bank’s Freetown Road Branch is running out of time before it is required to move.

The land will reportedly be used as a parking lot.
