No selling liquor before midnight on Election Day

By Aaron Humes: The Representation of the People Act is to be amended in respect of selling of intoxicating liquor on Election Day.

This year’s victors will have to wait to take their celebratory toasts from the neighborhood grocery store until after midnight, rather than after polls close.

Leader of Government Business Godwin Hulse called it “the most straightforward bill ever” and most of his colleagues agree – Churches Senator Ashley Rocke even suggested that it be extended to every day, somehow.

Later we will have the Senate’s final wishes at this, their last expected meeting in the current administration.
