Police offer reward in George Murphy murder investigation

By BBN Staff: Police are offering a cash reward for information in the murder investigation of George Murphy, 21.

Police are offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and charge of the person responsible.

Anyone with information on this latest murder is urged to call Crime Stoppers Belize at 922.

Murphy was gunned down in Placencia last night, while he and two others were walking near Placencia Municipal Pier.

Eyewitnesses say that a tall, slim person with an afro emerged and shot Murphy three times at a distance before walking up to him and landing a fatal shot a close range.

The witness also said they heard Murphy telling the shooter “Bwai, I da no di one you want,” before he was killed.
