John Saldivar tested for COVID-19 after contact with infected colleague

By Aaron Humes: Belmopan area representative John Saldivar says he is on an enforced break from campaigning, awaiting results of a COVID-19 test.

In a statement, Saldivar said he met briefly last Friday with Corozal Southeast standard-bearer Antonio “Tony” Herrera. Both men were masked and socially distanced per Saldivar.

Nonetheless, Saldivar is now in self-isolation while awaiting his results.

Scheduled activities including a manifesto launch and town hall meeting in his constituency are canceled.

The four-term area representative going for a fifth asks for prayers from his intimates.
