By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health is reporting that a total of 175 COVID-19 tests were processed today with 39 new cases identified.
They are distributed as follows:
Toledo – 2 from San Pedro Columbia
Corozal – 12 (4 in Corozal Town, 3 Xaibe, 2 Santa Clara, 1 Progresso, 1 Calcutta, 1 Concepcion)
Orange Walk – 11 (5 in town, 1 each in Trial Farm, Carmelita, August Pine Ridge, Trinidad, Tower Hill, San Felipe)
Belize – 14 (9 in Belize City, 1 Ladyville, 1 Caye Caulker, 2 San Pedro, 1 from Guinea Grass)
According to Belize Health Officials, 14 people recovered from the virus today.
“A team has also just completed the follow-up of cases initially reported at the Kolbe Foundation and that will be reported separately. We continue to ask all to continue to exercise all necessary precautions,” the Ministry of Health ended by saying.
Since the start of the pandemic, Belize has registered 2,243 cases, 1,392 people have recovered and 34 persons have lost their lives to the virus. There are currently 817 active cases that health officials are monitoring.
