Mr. Program to be laid to rest this week

Posted: Tuesday, October 6, 2020. 11:04 am CST.

By BBN Staff: Funeral services for the late Gilbert Alamilla, 26, better known by his stage name Mister Program is set for Thursday, October 8.

While it is known that he will be buried at the Lord Ridge Cemetery, other details regarding the funeral have not been announced. However, Alamilla’s loved ones are asking the public’s assistance to help defray the funeral expenses. Those wishing to help can make a deposit to Atlantic Bank account 211-744-031 or call his brother Joel Alamilla at 632-2592.

News of Alamilla’s murder sent shockwaves through Belize’s creative sector over last week. The “See I rise” artist was brutally stabbed to death on October 2, while socializing at a house on the north side of Belize City, along with two people he knew. Police say a third man entered the house where they were hanging out and threatened to kill
them all. That man then reportedly coerced and threatened one Clayton White to stab Alamilla to death.

Police have since detained and charged White; however, the man who reportedly ordered the killing is still on the run.
