Price of Diesel going down

Posted: Tuesday, October 6, 2020. 4:05 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The Government of Belize (GOB) announced today that the price of diesel fuel will be going down by seven cents.

The announcement, which came from the Ministry of Finance, says that Diesel will be going from $8.40 to $8.33 per gallon and the change will be effective on Wednesday, October 7.

Meanwhile, the prices for premium gasoline, regular gasoline, and kerosene will remain unchanged at $9.36, $8.61, and $5.43 per gallon, respectively.

“The price change reflects the current demand and supply conditions of crude oil in the international petroleum market and fluctuations in the acquisition price of refined fuel products in the countries from which Belize obtains its supplies.”

GOB added that it will continue to monitor the price movements and supply conditions and work closely with the fuel industry to safeguard the prices Belizeans pay at the pump.
