Belize Bank announces temporary closure of Belize City north-side branch

By BBN Staff: Today the Belize Bank announced that it would be temporarily closing its north-side Belize City branch on Friday, October 9, until further notice.

The Bank did not expressly say that the closure is related to COVID-19 but did note that the closure comes at the directive of the Ministry of Health to protect the health and well-being of employees and customers.

“We encourage customers to use the Market Square Branch for their banking needs or to use our safe and convenient banking channels,” the Bank said.

Those channels include its mobile banking app, online banking, and 24-hour ATM service. The bank also encouraged customers to use their debit cards as an alternative means of payment for goods and services and apologized for any inconveniences caused by the closure.
