Five Belize resorts win Conde Nast Traveler “Readers’ Choice” Awards

By Aaron Humes: The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) continues to track the racking up of accolades by Belize resorts as the country struggles to rebuild its tourism product in the wake of COVID-19.

Condé Nast Traveler named Turneffe Island Resort the number one in Central America, while four others made the top 15: Hamanasi Adventure & Dive Resort – No. 4; Matachica Resort & Spa – No. 8; Turtle Inn – No. 9; Gaia Riverlodge – No. 14. Additionally, Belize’s own Ambergris Caye was awarded No. 4 Best Island in Central America.

The BTB saluted the hard work and exemplary customer service of the winners and their respective properties. The Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards is the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry. More than 715,000 Conde Nast Traveler readers submitted responses rating their travel experiences across the globe to determine the winners.
