By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) is seeking assistance in ascertaining the identity of a Belizean who is remotely stranded in Guatemala.
As we reported yesterday, the plight of the Belizean, referred to by Guatemalan news sources as “Kelton,” came to light via social media on Tuesday. Since then the MOFA has been looking into the case.
The Ministry said today that it has checked with the Social Security Board, vital Statistics Unit, and Immigration authorities, but have not been able to verify his identity.
“We were also informed of a potential relative, an aunt by the name of Doris Tennet of Belize City,” the MOFA said.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of Kelton is urged to send an email to either [email protected] or [email protected].
