Another COVID-19 death; 24 patients admitted to hospital

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health informed today of another patient who died of COVID-19. The patient is a female in her 40’s who had underlying health conditions.

According to the Ministry, the patient had just been identified as a positive case yesterday.

The case fatality rate now stands at 1.44%.There are also 24 patients admitted to hospitals.

Ten patients are at the KHMH’s COVID-19 area and 3 of them are ventilated. Nine patients are admitted at the Northern Regional Hospital and 5 patients are at the Corozal Community Hospital.

“Given the increasing numbers, the number of hospitalized patients is expected to increase,” the Ministry of Health said.
