According to Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero the evidence so far suggests that females are recovering faster than males.
Data from the Ministry of Health indicates that of the recovered patients, 668 are females and 791 are males.
The Ministry of Health continues to conduct testing. Up to date, a total of 16,812 tests have been done.
The country has now registered 2,373 confirmed cases of the virus.
There are now 880 active cases of COVID-19 being monitored.
Thirty-four people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in Belize.
Twenty-two of the patients who died are men and twelve are women.
The Ministry of Health continues to urge the public to adhere to all safety protocols and take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.
