By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health’s data indicate that 186 frontline workers have contracted COVID-19.
Those frontline workers include 12 doctors, 16 nurses, 10 hospital workers, 7 health inspectors and 13 other hospital care workers.
As the world grapples to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, law enforcement frontline workers are also at risk. So far, 60 police officers have tested positive for the virus, 58 BDF officers, 5 coast guard officers and 5 other law enforcement officers.
The data is the number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic in Belize.
The Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams had indicated that officers from atleast 3 communities in Northern Belize were all on quarantine after contracting COVID-19.
