8.2 million active cases of COVID-19 worldwide

By Aaron Humes: Of 37 million overall cases of COVID-19 to date, 8.2 million are active.

More than 1 million have died and some 68 thousand people worldwide are in serious and critical condition.

The United States, India, Brazil, Russia and surprisingly Colombia are the top 5 most infected countries. However, France joins the first four in terms of active cases, while Mexico and the United Kingdom have more deaths overall.

North America, with more than 9.4 million total cases, is second only to Asia for most overall.

Belize ranks 18th in the region and 150th in the world with 2,427 total cases, 905 of them active and 35 dead.
