John Saldivar tests negative for COVID-19; grateful for well wishes

By BBN Staff: On Monday of this week, Breaking Belize News (BBN) reported that John Saldivar, Area Representative for Belmopan, had been tested for COVID-19 after having come in contact with Corozal Southeast standard bearer, Antonio “Tony” Herrera, who had tested positive. We are pleased to report tonight that Saldivar took to social media a short while ago to inform the nation that his test came out negative. 

After taking the test, Saldivar took a break from most campaign activities and was in self-isolation while he awaited his result. His manifesto launch for Belmopan and a town hall meeting were both cancelled.

BBN contacted Salvidar who informed that he is “just thankful for all the well wishes and expressions of concern and love” that was shown to him during this period of anticipation.

The four-term area representative, who is now going for a fifth, told BBN that he will now get “back to the campaign to silence the doubters”.
