Guatemalan armed forces deployed to adjacency area following the escape of 28 inmates from Belize Central Prison

By BBN Staff: Local media in Peten is reporting that Guatemalan authorities have deployed officers of the Guatemalan armed forces to the adjacency area following the escape of 28 prison inmates last night from the Belize Central Prison.

The police in Peten have also intensified their work near the border with Belize and are urging their residents to call 911 if they see any of the inmates.

The men are considered armed and dangerous.
