By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health informed of the death of a male patient from Northern Belize.

The patient was referred to the KHMH due to a deteriorating respiratory function.

The Ministry says that the patient had been unstable for the last couple of days.

The patient is the 40th patient in Belize to die due to COVID-19.

Belize’s case fatality rate stands at 1.5%.
