COVID-19 update: 2 patients remain intubated

By BBN Staff: COVID-19 cases continue to increase in Belize. Of the, 248 samples processed, 34 new cases were identified.

Two patients remain intubated at KHMH’s COVID unit.

Here is a breakdown of the new cases:

Toledo – 1 (Punta Gorda)

Belize – 5 (3 city, 1 Ladyville, 1 Mahogany Heights)

Stann Creek – 6 (3 Dangriga, 2 Hopkins, 1 from a banana farm)

Corozal – 6 (3 San Roman, 1 each in San Narciso, Caledonia, Santa Clara)

Orange Walk – 16 (11 in town, 2 San Jose Palmar, 1 Indian Church, 2 from Progresso in Corozal)

Sixteen more patients recovered from the virus.
