By BBN Staff: The Leadership Debates Committee (LDC) organizing the Prime Ministerial debate announced this week that the event will be held on October 28.
The committee, which is comprised of representatives of the Belize Chamber of Commerce & Industry, RSV Media Limited, and Galen University, said that it has also developed guidelines that will govern the debate through the guidance of the Jamaica Debates Commission. Those guidelines have already been disseminated to the leaders of the four political parties contesting the elections.
“This is our first attempt to introduce to the public that this is a very structured and transparent platform that’s going to be created(for the debate),” the LDC said.
The LDC said that it will be announcing which political parties will be participating in the debate, either by week’s end or early next week.
