By BBN Staff: Another person died from COVID-19 today, making this the 41st person to die from the novel coronavirus. The victim is a man in his 60s from northern Belize.

According to the Ministry of Health, the man was transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) on Sunday and was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) since then. He died early this morning.

A total of 41 individuals have now died from COVID-19 related complications in Belize, resulting in a case fatality rate of 1.5%.
