The Belize Red Cross joins in observing and bringing awareness to the importance of frequent and proper hand washing.

Global handwashing day is being observed under the theme, “Hand Hygiene for all.”

The practice of proper hand hygiene and educating young children on how handwashing reduces the spread of many diseases and how it is key in reducing the spread of COVID-19 will be highlighted throughout today.

The Ministry of Health, UNICEF Belize, Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture Belize Red Cross and Belize Social Investment Fund have jointly launched a Facebook awareness campaign inviting families to show each step in handwashing and receive a token from the Ministry.
