Private medical facilities enter COVID-19 testing regimen

By Aaron Humes: The National Oversight Committee has agreed to allow private medical facilities to test for COVID-19, Prime Minister Dean Barrow has announced.

This is subject to using only those tests certified by the Ministry of Health as reliable, which are limited to the SD-Biosensor and GeneXpert (PCR) rapid antigen test, and reporting those results to the Ministry.

Two facilities are cued up to begin such testing, relieving the Ministry and its relevant authorities of the burden of testing all who come forward.
